San Clemente Single Tracks: I live for the outdoors and spend as much time as possible outside in the world of native plants, animals and in this example, reptiles. We are blessed to have first-class mountain bike trails minutes away from our front door and we take advantage of this gift often. But you never know what you might find sunning itself in the middle of a single track. This Northern Pacific rattlesnake was kind enough to sound off a warning before Diana got too close. Such a gentleman! Chance encounters with snakes are all part of the beauty and we respect them by backing off and letting them go about their business which is mainly keeping the rodent population under control.
